Why your siding needs professional attention
That dark streaking on your siding is a living organism — algae, mold, or mildew — slowly eating into your paint and siding material. Left unchecked it voids warranties, accelerates rot, and forces expensive repairs. A proper soft wash doesn't just clean — it kills growth at the root.
With years of hands-on experience, we've washed hundreds of homes across the Peninsula. Every surface is different — vinyl needs different chemistry than stucco, wood needs different pressure than brick. We get it right every time.
Ready to get your home looking its best?
House Washing FAQ
No. Soft washing uses low pressure with professional cleaning solutions — safe for vinyl, wood, stucco, brick, fiber cement, and painted surfaces. We match the technique to your specific siding material.
In the Pacific Northwest, most homes benefit from a wash every 12–18 months. North-facing walls and shaded areas may need attention more frequently due to moisture and algae buildup.
We pre-wet all landscaping before starting and use biodegradable solutions. After the job, we rinse everything down. Your plants and gardens stay fully protected.
Moss is costing you
thousands. We stop it.
Black streaks and moss aren't cosmetic — they're actively shortening your roof's lifespan. Our low-pressure treatment kills growth at the root and protects your investment.
Moss retains moisture against your shingles, lifting tabs and allowing water beneath. Algae causes UV degradation. Both grow silently — and compound every season you wait to treat them.
Our low-pressure treatment
We never use high pressure on a roof — it strips protective granules and voids your warranty. Our low-pressure soft wash delivers a specialized biocide that kills moss, algae, and lichen at the cellular level. Growth dies and washes away naturally with rain.
Roof types we treat
Ready to protect your roof?
Roof Cleaning FAQ
No. We use soft wash only — low pressure with professional cleaning solutions that kill moss and algae without disturbing shingle granules. High pressure is never used on roofs.
Typically 2–4 years depending on tree coverage, shade, and roof orientation. We also recommend cutting trees back from your roof where possible — reducing shade and debris significantly slows moss regrowth.
Yes. Moss roots lift shingle edges over time, allowing moisture underneath. This leads to rot, leaks, and shortened roof life. Cleaning it early prevents expensive roof repairs down the road.
Water goes where
you tell it to.
Clogged gutters overflow into your fascia, foundation, and landscaping. We flush every inch — debris out, water flowing freely.
What clogged gutters actually cost you
Fascia & Soffit Rot
Overflowing gutters soak your fascia boards continuously, causing rot that spreads into rafters and sheathing — a repair that runs into thousands.
Foundation Damage
Water pooling at your foundation seeps into cracks over time, causing settlement and structural issues — the most expensive repair a homeowner faces.
Landscape Erosion
Concentrated overflow carves channels through mulch and soil, washing away plants and exposing root systems to damage season after season.
Our full service
Ready to get your gutters flowing?
Gutter Cleaning FAQ
At least twice a year — once in late spring and once in late fall after leaves drop. Homes with heavy tree coverage or surrounded by evergreens may need cleaning more frequently.
Clogged gutters cause water to overflow, which can damage fascia boards, soffits, siding, and your foundation. In winter, clogged gutters can also lead to ice dams. Regular cleaning prevents expensive repairs.
Our standard gutter cleaning covers the interior — clearing debris and ensuring proper water flow. Exterior gutter brightening (removing dark tiger-stripe stains and oxidation from the outside face) is available as an add-on service.
Every hard surface,
restored.
From driveways and walkways to patios, pavers, and outdoor hardscape — we clean every hard surface. Grime lifted. Algae gone. Results that are immediate and dramatic.
Every stain and surface, covered
Tire & Skid Marks
Rubber transfer bonds to concrete over time. The right chemistry and pressure dramatically reduces and often eliminates these marks.
Oil & Fluid Stains
We significantly reduce oil and grease stains using targeted degreasers. Results depend on penetration depth — we give you an honest assessment first.
Algae & Green Growth
Green algae and moss on concrete and pavers are both a slip hazard and eyesore. We eliminate them completely, restoring the original surface colour.
Embedded Grime
Years of dirt and pollution ground into surface pores. Professional pressure washing with the right chemistry drives it out completely, revealing the surface underneath.
Paver Staining
Efflorescence, mineral deposits, and organic staining between pavers — cleaned without disturbing joint sand or causing displacement.
Slip Hazards
Wet algae on any hard surface is as slippery as ice. Our cleaning eliminates the hazard entirely, keeping your surfaces safe year-round.
Our approach
We assess each stain type before we start and tell you exactly what to expect. We use the appropriate degreaser or cleaner for each situation, then follow with professional-grade pressure washing and a post-treatment chemical application to keep surfaces cleaner longer.
Ready to restore your surfaces?
Driveway & Concrete FAQ
Yes. We clean pavers thoroughly to remove dirt, moss, and staining, then offer paver sealing as an add-on to protect against moisture, UV damage, and weed growth. Sealing also brings out the natural color of the pavers and keeps them looking great much longer.
Not when done properly. Concrete and pavers are hard surfaces that handle pressure well. We adjust our technique for the specific surface and condition to ensure a thorough clean without any damage.
Yes. After pressure washing driveways, walkways, and patios, we apply a post-treatment chemical to kill any remaining organic growth at the root. This helps your surfaces stay cleaner significantly longer than pressure washing alone.
Vinyl, Trex, cedar —
every surface refreshed.
We wash every type of deck, fence, and outdoor structure — vinyl, Trex, composite, cedar, pressure-treated, metal. Each material cleaned with exactly the right technique, every time.
Every material needs its own approach
Vinyl and composite surfaces like Trex need gentle low-pressure washing — high pressure can dent, streak, or void manufacturer warranties. Cedar and pressure-treated wood need specific chemistry to clean without raising grain. Metal fencing needs rust-safe solutions.
We know the difference and always use the right approach — so you get a clean surface without any damage to the material or its protective finish. Wood is part of what we do, but it's just one of many materials we clean every week.
Ready to bring your deck back to life?
Deck & Fence Cleaning FAQ
Yes, when done correctly. We use controlled low pressure with the right cleaning solutions for wood. High pressure can damage wood grain — we never use more than the surface can handle.
Yes. Composite materials require a different approach than natural wood. We use soft wash techniques that safely remove mold, algae, and dirt without damaging the composite surface.
For natural wood decks, sealing after cleaning is a great idea to protect against moisture and UV damage. We can advise on timing — we recommend waiting at least 3–5 days after cleaning so the wood dries completely before applying any sealant or stain.

Meet Tim
Tim "Timmy" Adams is the owner of Brisk Pressure Washing, bringing over 4 years of hands-on experience to every job. and FAQ.
Insider knowledge from years of cleaning across the Olympic Peninsula. Maintain your property better and know exactly what to expect from us.
Keep your home looking
its best year-round.
Small habits that prevent big problems — the things our crew notices on every job.
Rinse your siding every spring
Before moss and algae take hold, a simple garden hose rinse each spring can prevent 80% of organic buildup. Start from the top down.
Clear gutters twice a year
Clear them in late fall after leaf drop and again in early spring. The Pacific Northwest's tree coverage fills gutters faster than most places.
Cut trees back from your roof
Overhanging branches create shade and drop debris that accelerate moss and algae growth on your roof. Trimming branches back reduces moisture buildup and helps your roof stay cleaner much longer between cleanings.
Keep plants back from siding
Shrubs touching your siding trap moisture and accelerate mold growth. Keep a 6-inch gap between plants and your home's exterior.
Inspect your roof each spring
Look for dark streaks (algae), green patches (moss), or lifted shingles. Catching it early costs far less than waiting a full season.
Clean your deck before sealing
A freshly washed deck accepts stain more evenly and the finish lasts significantly longer before peeling or fading.
Pressure Washing
FAQ — Port Angeles
Common questions from homeowners across the Olympic Peninsula.
Pricing depends on the size of your home and the surfaces being cleaned. Our minimum for any pressure washing job is $225. A typical house wash in Port Angeles or Sequim runs between $400–$1,000 depending on size and condition, with some exceptions. We provide free on-site estimates — what we quote is what you pay, no hidden fees. Call us at (360) 461-0791 for a quick quote.
Most homes in Port Angeles, Sequim, and across the Olympic Peninsula benefit from a full exterior wash every 12–18 months. Our wet climate creates ideal conditions for moss, algae, and mildew to build up faster than in drier regions. North-facing walls and shaded areas may need attention more frequently. Roofs typically need cleaning every 2–4 years depending on tree coverage and shade exposure.
Yes — when done correctly. We use a soft wash method for all roof cleaning, which means low pressure combined with professional-grade cleaning solutions that kill moss and algae at the root. We never use high-pressure water on roofing materials. This is the method recommended by shingle manufacturers and is safe for asphalt, composite, cedar shake, and metal roofs commonly found on homes throughout the Olympic Peninsula.
Pressure washing relies on high water pressure to blast away dirt and grime — it's effective on hard surfaces like concrete driveways and sidewalks. Soft washing uses much lower pressure combined with biodegradable cleaning solutions that break down organic growth like mold, algae, and mildew at the source. We use soft wash for siding, roofs, and painted surfaces, and higher pressure for concrete, brick, and stone. Choosing the right method for each surface prevents damage and delivers longer-lasting results.
Most residential homes in Port Angeles and Sequim take between 1.5 and 3 hours, depending on the size of the home, how much buildup there is, and which surfaces are being cleaned. Larger homes or properties with heavy moss and algae growth may take a bit longer. We'll give you a clear time estimate when we assess your property so you know exactly what to expect.
No. We take plant protection seriously on every job. Before we begin, we thoroughly pre-wet all landscaping, flower beds, and grass around the work area. We use only biodegradable, plant-safe cleaning solutions. After the job is done, we rinse everything down again. In years of washing homes across the Olympic Peninsula, we've never damaged a customer's landscaping.
You don't need to be present for most jobs. We just need access to an exterior water spigot and the areas being cleaned. We'll confirm all the details before your scheduled date, and we'll send you before-and-after photos when the work is complete. Many of our customers in Port Angeles and Sequim prefer to schedule while they're at work.
We're based in Port Angeles and serve the entire Olympic Peninsula. Our primary service areas include Port Angeles, Sequim, Carlsborg, Dungeness, Agnew, Joyce, Blyn, Discovery Bay, Port Townsend, Chimacum, Quilcene, and Forks. If you're on the peninsula and not sure whether we cover your area, just give us a call at (360) 461-0791 — the answer is almost always yes.
Yes. Brisk Pressure Washing operates under Washington State Registration #BRISKPW753PN and complies with all state requirements for exterior cleaning contractors. We carry proper coverage and follow all local regulations for working in Clallam and Jefferson counties.
Yes — we offer recurring maintenance plans for homeowners and businesses who want their property cleaned on a regular schedule. Many of our customers in Port Angeles and Sequim set up annual house washes and gutter cleanings so they never have to think about it. We'll work with you to find a schedule and scope that fits your property and budget. Call us to discuss options.
Absolutely. Those dark streaks are caused by a type of algae called Gloeocapsa magma, which is extremely common on roofs in the Pacific Northwest. Moss takes root in the damp, shaded conditions we get year-round on the Olympic Peninsula. Our soft wash treatment kills both the algae and moss at the root, and the results are visible immediately. The treatment also continues working for weeks after application to prevent regrowth.
Port Angeles and the surrounding Olympic Peninsula get a lot of moisture — cool temperatures, frequent rain, and heavy morning dew create the perfect environment for algae, mildew, and moss to take hold on siding, fences, and concrete. North-facing walls and areas shaded by trees are hit hardest. It's completely normal for this climate, and a professional soft wash every 12–18 months keeps it under control before it causes real damage.
Yes — we clean properties throughout the year in Port Angeles and Sequim. The mild winters on the peninsula rarely bring hard freezes, so exterior cleaning is safe in most conditions. We do avoid washing during active heavy rain or the rare freezing day, but otherwise we're able to schedule year-round. Spring and summer are the busiest seasons, so booking earlier gives you more flexibility on timing.
It can make a real difference. Mold, mildew, and algae growing on your home's exterior release spores into the air that can aggravate allergies and respiratory issues — especially in the damp Olympic Peninsula climate. A thorough soft wash removes that growth at the source, and the biodegradable solutions we use prevent it from coming back as quickly.
